I'm just going to stop counting my blogs. I don't know, somehow I'm going to lose track. And it's Summer, it's not like it's a term anymore. Oops, I guess I forgot to blog for a while. But don't worry! It's not like I'm going to go back on my promise to blog during the summer. Okay, as you can probably see, I've gone full-on horse crazy. I don't know, Summer's coming, and with it, maybe an opportunity to ride again! Yup, I've changed the whole background, and my picture, so now it's horse, horse and all horse! They say it's weird, because the horse crazy gene is just so random. I mean my parents don't like animals a lot, and barely have an interest in horses, and here I am, thinking about nothing BUT horses. Same with my sister, she's always been cat-crazy. Mmmhm, enough about that. How about a recap of what you've missed?
On Saturday, I just rested for the first time in the whole week, since I've been so busy. And then when I tried to scan something to my friend, the printer just didn't work. And then my mom tried printing something and it didn't work. We tried waiting for it to fix itself, and then opened it and tried to look for the problem. And guess what? After a long time, my mom found one of those plastic beady eyes she uses for crafts inside the printer, probably jamming it. After we took it out, it worked again. Jeez, so much trouble just because of a tiny little plastic eye. On Sunday I studied some more, and then realized how close to my exam it was, and kind of freaked. It's almost 2 months away, which totally isn't a lot, since my teacher's going on vacation for 3 weeks in the middle of it. And I still need one whole song to memorize, and work on securing my memory for the rest of them! I'm serious, everything I work on one, I forget the other one. And it's so frustrating, since I used to be so good at memorizing one of them, and now I have memory slips all over the place. I know I have to play all of them at once, but it's so hard and tiring, and it takes up so much time that I don't have! At least it's Summer...My teacher's calling it a "marathon", and it's like i'm practicing slowly piece after piece to get ready for it. Sigh, so much to study, so little time.
And then it's today. Half of the morning's gone already, but at least it's peaceful without my siblings here. I'm just studying and taking breaks to little things I keep reminding myself to do. And it's my sister's birthday today! I went present shopping on Saturday, and I found the perfect gift! I'm as excited to give it to her as she is to receive it! But it's so hard hiding it. She so impatient, she keeps wandering inside my room trying to look for it. Sigh, I guess it's back to studying...Good luck on your exams, people!

T3 B101: "A Hell of a Year"
Quote by Cynthia. Yes, I agree a hell of a year. Hey, we all had our ups and downs, our smiles and frowns, but we all survived, didn't we? Helping each other with homework, studying with buddies until 4 am, staying up with Late night buddies, and running Langara and six-laps with our running buddies. We've all come through grade 8 together, "We're synergizing." Remember all those funny times in class, when everyone would burst into laughter? Good times, and I hope we get a chance to see friends throughout the summer, so we wouldn't have to endure loneliness. Sigh, hugs and tears on the last day, a million hugs, friends moving away...Everything was just so sweet and emotional. But it's not the end. This isn't the last blog. It won't be the last time we would see our friends (except Natasha ;( ...) We still have Finals, and then the Synergy party. And the whole of next year to strengthen our already strong bonds. I just hope things don't change too much during the summer. But I promise, this isn't my last blog. What's wrong with blogging during the summer? And we'll still have the whole of next year to blog.
Hugs and Tears,

T3 B100: Celebrating 100 blogs
YAY! 100 blogs for term three!
So, today made me so emotional and sad....I just can't take so many goodbyes all in one day...First we had to finish the departing of the first Synergy teacher: Smedley. Hmm, I remember how much our view of her changed, our POV (hehe, GO program). At the beginning of the year, we all thought she was intimidating and scary, and so we were always so focused and concentrated during her classes. Then as we got to know her, we discovered some fun sides of Smedley, and the tension just relaxed completely. Remember that rapping session with Smedley? Ahh, happy memories....Then there was the time the student teacher took over. Then, we realized how that Smedley's way of teaching was a lot better, and the quality was a lot better. We began asking to have Smedley back. And now, we laugh together, learn together, Science has become my favourite subject again. Thanks Ms. Smedley, thanks for the popsicles. We'll miss you!
Band was next, we sightread a this piece called Looney Tunes Overture, and it was so hard...The flutes and clarinets had so many runs and grace notes, it was so challenging, but still fun, since most of us could recognize the tune. No goodbyes here, I'm still taking band tomorrow. It's just that I might be alone next year, since Cynthia, Kathy C, and Andy won't continue. Alex, Chris are both advancing. Sigh, I feel like I'm left behind, and I'm torn, since I really don't want to drop my flute, and I like music.
Math was next, it was just basically review for the finals. And now that I think of it, I'll miss Mrs. Kobbi. She wasn't exactly nice to everyone, but if you're on her nice side, she's okay. She sure taught me alot, and her teaching style is good, not too slow, but she makes she everyone gets it. I'll miss having her teach me next year.
Socials was the hardest to say good-bye to. Everyone seemed to be Awww-ing, and it was just so sad! WE did some review at first, and then we just talked about finals and next year...We also watched this little cute Cartoon that sure made my day. It was so cute! And we DID manage to get Mr. Sale to sing for us. And boy, was it different from what I expected. His voice is amazingly beautiful, and it just made me feel depressed again, since it was about saying Good-bye, and it was so sweet, it made everyone Awww. Sigh, Socials was one of my absolute favourite subjects this year, it's just so much fun, discussing things, and argueing. Mr. Sale is such a funny teacher, and I'll really, really miss being in his class. Sigh. I guess that's it. All the good-byes for Day 2. It makes my heart feel heavy just thinking about not being in their classes...

T3 B99: Last Day for Assignments
I just realized that since we only had 3 days of classes left, today would be the last day for assigning homework, and then we'll be free! But then there's those assignments assigned a long time ago, like the Forum and all the Go stuff. I still have a lot more of responses to go, and then updating my website's going to take a long time again. Sigh, I'm determined not to cram all the work into Friday night. I've already finished the little homework assignments, so now I have to tackle the big ones like forum and GO. Hmmm, if I finish everything today, I'll have two days to relax and enjoy the last two classes of Synergy 8s. Awww, thinking about the end already makes me feel bad. The winter break seemed long enough, how am I going to last the summer? Yet, I always ask that at the end of the school year, and by the end of the summer break, I wonder how the summer passed so fast...

T3 B98: Cow Eye Disection
Whoa, my first real disection ever. The only other one I did was owl pellets, and that barely count. It wasn't even at school! Anyways, the first time I saw the cow eye, it was quite disgusting. It was floating in the water, and from far away it kind of looked like oysters. And then up close, it was actually quite interesting. Good thing I brought gloves, because Ms. Smedley only gave us one glove per group. Mimi did most of the disecting, and I just passed her most of the tools. I DID do some disecting though, it was pretty cool. Eventually these weird jelly slipped out, and then there was the cow eye. It was so pretty. It was all blue and black and green-ish all mixed together. It was the like peacock feathers, so beautiful. It really did stink though, and the smell just stuck onto your fingers. Yuck.

T3 B97: Last week of school
Oh my, it's such a nice day out today. Today, we had our French oral exams, and I'm pretty sure I did horrible on it. I mean, I could barely get past the first question, I was just that nervous. I guess my confidence just totally went down after that. Sigh.
In English, we had our Wizard of Earthsea test, which was a LOT easier than I had expected, except of one question that I wasn't paying attention to when we went over it in class. I made a good guess, but I'm pretty sure I got that wrong too. Sigh, I can't believe this is the last week of school! Where did all those happy days go? How can the last week come so fast! I can barely process it in my mind. To me, this is still the beginning of April of something. I don't want to think about how much I'll miss my friends and teachers, and especially Natasha....

T3 B96: Oh, that loveable dog!
Awww, it was really nice out, and I also had piano classes today. Well, my piano teacher has a dog (Nino), and he's so cute! He's a labrador retriever, and he's just so adorable and loveable. Before you enter the backyard of the house (since the door to the basement, where we play piano, is there) you hear barking and growling, since he IS supposed to be their "guard dog". But as soon as you step in, he stops barking, and comes right up to you, tilts his head slightly, and then starts wagging his tail like crazy. It's so adorable! You just can't resist the temptation of reaching down and giving him pats and scratches behind his ear, and then all of the sudden, you realize you have dog hair all over your shirt. Sigh, but it's worth it. He's so obedient, and responds to all the signals, and he even rolls over and lets you pat his tummy. Sometimes when you're petting him, he turns around and licks you on the nose! It's so sweet! If I had a dog, I would want him to be exactly like that. Wait, here's a picture I took a while ago, it was during the winter, so I'm sorry if it's kind of dark...
Aww, great, now I really want a dog again....

T3 B95: Two down, three to go...
Shorter blog today, sorry. Mostly because I didn't really do anything interesting today. This morning, I just spent most of my time knitting, and finally finished my second scarf. Gosh, it took forever! That's because I switched to my thinner needles, and it takes a long time to knit the rows. Now, after switching to the thicker needles, it feels really big and awkward. But it definitely takes waaaaay less time to knit the rows, since they are spaces between the rows. I actually like it better that way, it looks a lot more prettier, and not so tightly packed and rough. Now, I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to finish all 5 scarves. I think I knit way more than it needs to be. And my scarves are so wide, no wonder they take a long time to finish. I've seen scarves so thin and so short that it barely wraps around the neck. I want whoever gets my scarf to actually be able to wear it, and be warmed by it...I don't know how I'm supposed to finish EVERYTHING by the end of this week...I'll probably have to switch into Nocturnal mode, which I do enough of already. Okay, back to work...

Knitting Stress
OH NO! According to what I hear, we have to bring our knitting things on Monday for marking, and I'm only halfway there...What am I going to do?! I'm only on my third scarf, since I'm a really slow knitter, and I missed out on that knitting field trip. Well, I guess I could blame the slow start I had. I had never, ever tried knitting before, and was so confused, since everyone kept giving me tips on how to knit, and they were all doing different techniques. Sigh. I wonder if it would be okay if I just finished my third scarf, bring my three scarves in, and donate them? We get to keep two, right? I guess I'll start a fourth one after I'm done, and I might be able to finish that by Friday. Just maybe...Knitting's fun, it really is, it's just that I knit really slow, but I do try really hard!
Today was Carnival! I was really excited, and I totally wanted to look at all the cool events and stuff. The classes were all short, which was pretty awesome, since I could stay focused all the way, and not feel sleepy at all, because they were so short. After class there was so much confusion over what to do first, and when the flashmob would happen. I ended up just going down to the field, and getting an ice cream cone for a snack. While eating mid-way, I came up with the horrible thought that the music might start while I was eating my ice cream, and then I'll have to dump it somewhere. But then right after I finished it, the music started. Phew! There were some people on the stage, but then another group was on the field, so I just joined them instead. After that, Leslie and I wandered around looking at all the fun games. There was this almost-impossible fishing game that we watched April play over and over again. It was entertaining, but it was so unfair and hard to fish that I could totally understand why April was tempted to try it again and again.
When I got home, I started on my knitting again, which I'm kind of desperate over. There's no way I'll be able to finish all five scarves...Unless I work at it everyday until Friday, I just MIGHT finish. But I doubt it.

Handball Once Again!
Ever had one of those times when you get hurt and you don't notice it until it starts hurting? Today, for some reason, I got a cut on my finger, and I totally didn't notice it was even there until it started stinging. And I still have no idea how I got the cut. I don't remember getting a paper cut...
During French, we're starting with our oral exams, which seem so stressful...The whole of next week is going to be spent on practicing and testing our oral skills. I'm so scared that right in the middle of the interview, I'm going to forget what I'm going to say, or have no idea what the teacher is asking me. Sigh, there's the whole two sheets to study. English, we had our quiz, which I thought would be easy, but turns out it was trickier than I thought.
Then at lunch we were buskering! It was pretty strange and awkward at first, since everyone suddenly turned to watch us. But at least we were in a group, that certainly helped. We did end up with $15 dollars in the end, which is pretty awesome. Then we came up with the idea of going to different classes and buskering. Our first stop was Mr. Sale's and we just worked our way downstairs. A lot of teachers were busy, but we did get some money from the other classes. And we came back with $61.09! Not bad.
Since it was kind of pouring outside, we had dodgeball and handball for P.E., which I really liked. It was so fun! Especially handball! I haven't played it in a long time, but I loved every minute of it. It was my favourite unit, besides Volleyball, but that was only a week-long.
Anyways, I should go finish off my Science Project. After 11:40 tomorrow, I'll be feeling so much more free. Carnival, Here I come!

A Trip to the Library
Today was another typical day...During science we had worksheets, and a lab, which was pretty fun. Science is becoming my favourite class again. It's so easy and the work isn't tiring or anything. Band, we just sightread two new pieces, which I really like doing. They always sound so awesomely good! It was so much fun, and it took up the whole class, too. At lunch, since our group didn't have rehearsal, and my friends were buskering, I just walked around the school with Cynthia and Alex, and watching the different groups. They were so cool, and good! And then Mimi had that weird recorder thingy/flute that sounded...different, but unique. Math was more reviewing, and we're starting probability, which I like, because it's just that easy! Socials was another cool class. We found out that Mr. Sale could watch everything we did on our computers, and send messages to everyone, and go into their accounts, which was pretty cool, but then everyone was kind of freaked out, because they were scared Sale was going to catch them doing something.
After school, I had Chinese tutoring, and after that, our family just watched the hockey game together. It seemed like it was going to go into overtime with no one scoring...and then I left to go to the library. I LOVE the library. It feels like ages since I went. I had to get a new card, and apparently it's a "youth" card, which is kind of like the adult, except the fines are half-price. Great. I get a limit on how fast I read my books. Darn. I hate being rushed while I'm reading...But the library is like a second home to me. It's so familiar, I just love being there. And when I came back, some cars were honking, so I assume that we won. And we did. Great job, Canucks!
