Still in bed. At least I'm recovering. I feel a bit better. OK, so eventually after all those boring hours, I've finished my book talk. Instead, I'm reading Jane Austen. Yes, her books are really old, but still Classics. I just love them for some reason. She's a brilliant author, and I just love all her books. I'm not finished some of them of course, but from this first book, I'll assume her other books are as well-done. The book I just finished was Northanger Abbey. It's a romance novel about Catherine, who has barely stepped out of her house now, and has gone traveling with her aunt. From this trip, she learns the ways of the world, and how the outside world is, certainly different from home. Of course, she meets a man, and falls in love with him, but the sad thing is that they were almost broken apart, until the ending, when the guy rebelled against his father and proposed to her. It was really good, and though it seemed confusing at times, with its twists in plot, and many characters, I managed to get through it and understand it. Now that I think of it, when I do get better, I'm going to go for another visit to the library and take out another Jane Austen book. Maybe it'll be "Emma" or "Persuasion" or "Pride and Prejudice".
Read on,
Dapple Grey
