Phew. I'm finally getting used to my block rotations. I'm pretty confident that I'm not entering the wrong class now. So, we had an experiment due for science today, called the "Pen top submarine" What we had to do was get a small, squeezable bottle, and then have a pen cap with plasticine stuck to one end of it. We fill the bottle with water, and drop the pen cap inside. Sound simple, right? Not. My "submarine" kept floating sideways, until I figured out that I needed more plasticine. After adding some, it became too heavy, so when I squeezed it, it went down, and didn't come up again. I did this so many times, adding plasticine and taking some off, until I finally got it to work. When I got to school, it was still perfectly fine. That is, until we got to science. That was when my submarine stopped floating, it just sunk. I was horrified. Luckily, I still had a few minutes before class, and I figured out the problem: my pen top had a hole on the top, that I needed to cover with more plasticine. Luckily I still had some left, and so I stuck it on. And it worked! The rest of the class was so nervous that theirs wouldn't work by the time Ms. Smedley marked it. I hope mine's survived and worked perfectly.
