You guessed it, I went to Leslie's House after school. It was for a science experiment for science class. What we had to do was find our density, which was mass divided by volume. We knew the mass, but what we needed to find out was the volume. We decided to do what Archimedes did, and submerge one of us in a tub and measure the difference in the water surface. I still remember when Archimedes first discovered this principle, he shouted Eureka! and ran through the streets naked because he got overexcited. Anyways, Leslie agreed to submerge herself in her tub, and since she lived close to Churchill, we (Mimi, Leslie, and I) went to her house. We found the volume, but since we couldn't find a scale, we decided to approximately guess her mass. It took so long, and we were all really hungry afterwards. We had to pour water into this beaker measuring 2L, then pour it into the tub 45 times to get 90 L of water. Fortunately, Leslie provided his with food. In other words, we ate a lot of almonds. Mimi was going crazy and just munching on them. It was really fun to watch. I hope Ms. Smedley assigns us more assignments like this one. It's so fun working in a group.
