For some reason today, I woke up extra early. I don't know why , maybe it was the sun shining through my windows, or just that sense of freshness of a new week, a chance to start over....You know what that means, Spring is on it's way! Or you may know it as, Persephone is on her way back from Hades! You would have to be paying attention during the god presentations to figure that one out. Spring is really just around the corner, only 2 more weeks! Yet I still can't believe that I've made it this far, and time just seems to disappear so much more quickly these days.
So a journey through today's events:
Math was just math, sitting there, feeling really tired, yet trying to finish the worksheet so I wouldn't have homework. We have a test next week, and every time, our math teacher gives us these big review sheets. They take forever to finish, and just when you think it's over, there are more questions on the back...
Socials was a tad bit more interesting. We're starting Ancient China with all the dynasties and Chinese emperors/kings, and I'm really going to feel miserable on the day we have the test, because there are a lot of weird names that I don't think I'll ever be able to memorize. Mr. Sale already assigned us a quiz on Friday, and I have no clue how I'm going to finish studying by then. We did a TON of notes today.
Science was ok, I guess. We did some more notes on pressure and did a lot of worksheets that were handed out. Then she handed us back or work that she marked. Now that was confusing. I guess she's not used to our class having double names (2 Vivians, 2 Kathys, 2 Kevins) so when she called Vivian, she didn't say the last name. I just got up to take my work back, since Vivian L was doing something else. 3 times now, me and Vivian had to exchange our work because she got ours mixed up. Oh well, I can't blame Ms. Davidson, I'm still not really used to having another Vivian in the class. Whenever someone calls our name, we both turn around. I just can't help it, it's just a reaction now, I can barely control it, even though I know the person is calling the other Vivian.
Band was just fun. We didn't really have to do rhythms today, just a lot of sight reading. Sight reading's actually not that bad, we played some really cool famous tunes, except they were kind of old, so no one really recognized them, except for "The star-spangled banner." It was all really fun to play. Ms. Olson took over after that, and we had to do the pieces with incredibly high, and fast notes. I totally just lost my breath after that, and just sat there in my chair, resting. I hope I get used to playing my flute soon, because I really can't blow out for as long as everyone else can.
Well, I guess I really can't avoid that socials quiz. Gotta start studying!
