Today was Mother's Day, and since my mom was very busy this morning, I had tons of time to prepare her gift. After deciding for a very long time, I came up with a bouquet of flowers, and a big pack of peanuts. Yes, a bag of peanuts, but not any kind of peanuts. These peanuts were my mom's all-time favourite peanuts. They were spicy since there was red pepper mixed with it, as well as regular pepper. I have no idea why she likes it so much, and how she can eat so many at a time, since whenever I eat a couple of peanuts, it numbs my tongue, and then I can taste the spicyness. Anyways, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM!
Every year, on Mother's Day, we go to the funeral home to visit our great grandmother and father. Even thought I've never knew them, I still feel kind of sad that I didn't get to meet them, since according to my grandma, they were the ones who first immigrated to Canada. So imagine, without them, I might still be living in China right now...At the funeral home, there was this big pond that we decided to explore. When we got down there, it looked so beautiful, even with the gloomy weather. The water was really clear, and there were trees shading it, some petals had already fallen into the lake. I liked to call it the "Pond of Lost Souls".
Anyways, we had a big dinner at my grandma's house, which was really fun since we haven't been there in a long time. I was basically busy the whole day, since in the early morning I had piano and my last theory lesson, and then after that we went to the funeral home, and then to the Celebration of Excellence Recital for Piano. My gosh, those people could play extremely well, it's just so overwhelming. Also, I recognized some songs that I used to play. But they play it so much better than I'd ever did. I only had time to take a short shower before heading to dinner again. When I came back, it was late, and I still had to finish some other homework, which kind of explains why I'm blogging at such a weird hour. I really should be sleeping now...
