Mission Accomplished!

Today I woke up with the goal of untangling this giant knot in my yarn, and rolling my other 3 yarn clumps into yarn balls. After about 20 minutes or so, I finally got rid of the giant knot. Sigh, that took me forever. 2 classes and an hour, to be exact. But I'm proud that I untangled it, and didn't cut it, and waste it, like I thought I would. Also, while watching the hockey game, since it took forever, and then went into a loooong overtime, I finished rolling 3 yarn balls. Hurray! Mission accomplished! I feel so proud of myself now. I finally got something done, and I just love that feeling! Also, the my second scarf is finally long enough to end, and I think I'll end it tomorrow. Gosh, that took a long time to knit, since I accidentally made it too wide. Oh well, I'll make sure the next scarf is about half the width of this one. I'm so happy!
This morning I went shopping with my sister, and I promised her last week that I would go with her, except last week I was too busy with my activities and parties to go. So we left right after breakfast, and the whole trip was pretty fast actually, about 1 hour and a half, since I wanted to come back on the same transit ticket. My sister bought everything she wanted to get, and I just didn't get anything. I wanted to save my money, since I'm so horrible at it. So today, I just practiced self-control, and I did see things that I wanted to get, but no matter how strong the temptation, I didn't buy it. And I'm proud of myself! And to admit, it's actually pretty fun shopping for other people and helping them. It's a lot easier to find things, and they will often get everything they want. Even though I didn't get everything, I still came back with a happy feeling. I'm getting better at saving every day. Maybe I should go put those piggy banks to use....
