So today we had the Langara run, and I did way better than I had expected. Natasha, my running buddy, was gone, so I ran with Kathy instead. And she ran pretty fast. I didn't think I would make it past half way, since she started really fast. But I did manage to last the whole way, with encouragement from my Ipod. This time we started the other direction, which was uphill first, and according to my teacher, it's supposed to be better than starting the other way. I did get a way better score than last time, at least 2 minutes faster. The only bad part was that Kathy stopped running near the end, and I had to finish the rest on my own. I didn't really know if I was slowing down, since I was tired, and I didn't have Kathy there to steady my pace. And then, my Ipod started playing this really slow song, and I couldn't shake it enough to get it to shuffle. I gave up after a bit, and I just started running, and when I spotted the rest of the class, I tried to sprint, but it was a really, really slow sprint, because we legs were so tired.
After school, since my brother had art classes at Granville Island, we had to wait for him to finish. So we roamed around the public markets and went into those little stores selling stationary and paper and other cool stuff. It was really nice, and the stores were air-conditioned, so it felt really nice. The only problem was that my legs were still sore from the run, and my legs ached the whole way. In the end, I just collapsed into the car and refused to move until we got home. In fact, my legs are still aching right now...
