This morning was pretty relaxing, I did some more knitting, and then I had to prepare for my piano recital. It was just a little one, a recital for all of my teacher's students. We do this every year, so I'm kind of used to it. Well, I played this song from the Children's Corner (by Debussy-he's awesome!) Anyways, I just worked on not being nervous, since I don't want it getting in the way of my playing. Well, it went smoothly, and it was nice, listening to the variety of levels of music. Oh yeah, there were some students who sang and accompanied themselves. It must be pretty hard multitasking, since you have to focus on singing and finding the right pitch and words, as well as concentrating on what you're playing on the piano. There was a younger student who sang Castle on a Cloud, one of my favourite songs from Les Miserables. Then there was this older girl who sang Colours of the Wind, I love both of the performances! They were awesome!
My brother had a birthday party after that, and it was so LOUD. I just shut myself in my room and did homework, well and a little playing...I came out once in a while for the opening of presents, and for food! My dad and I went to order pizza, and we just stuffed ourselves. Now, I feeling all happy because no homework is due tomorrow, and I finally have some time to relax!
