Softball

Darn. Track meet was cancelled. So now it's never going to happen. That's disappointing...I was actually looking forward to my 200m sprint, and watching the other events. At least now I won't have to show the world my shameful shot put throw....
In French, we reviewed a little, and I guess my French teacher was expecting the track meet to be cancelled, since she was pretty prepared. English was more fun, we did journals and then since I didn't want to do my novel study work, I helped Mrs. Greskiw sort out book tests, which was more fun, but then I got a paper cut...
At lunch, we held our band rehearsal, and we didn't really practice much, but it was hard, since one of us forgot to bring their sheet music, and so it sounded really weird. At least we got time during Applied Skills to practice. Oh yeah, we did our practice flash mob today, which turned out to be really awkward. I found out that a couple of our classmates' older siblings were there watching, so it must have been a lot more awkward for them.
Afterwards, I had P.E., and the warm up run turned up to be more tiring, since I haven't had a P.E. class for a long time! We did softball today, something I've never done, since I've missed a lot of classes. At first, we practiced catching with the mitt. I guess I did OK, I dropped the ball the first couple of times, but then I got pretty good at catching. I didn't have a chance to practice hitting the ball with the bat, we just went straight to a softball game. It was really fun, I got the hang of it, and hitting didn't turn out as hard as I thought it would be. I hit a foul ball on my first try, but on my second time, I managed to hit the ball correctly, even though it didn't land so far. Softball is turning out to be better than I thought.
