Block Rotations
Oh, I'm really not used to block rotations. After every class, I have to take time to stop and think about what class I have next. Just in case I go to the wrong class. Well, I had science in the morning, which is not so bad actually. I feel more energetic in science class, which helps, since science does sometimes get boring, especially the super-duper long tests that the student teacher gives us. Today, we had presentations on natural fluid systems. Mimi, Leslie, and I did ours on snake venom. It was pretty fun listening to the presentations, but I'm really glad no one else picked snake venom, because there were a lot of repeats. A LOT. Especially the ones on starfish and volcanoes. We also worked on this hand-made lung, which was a lot of fun. We made it with 2 balloons, a pop bottle, some elastics, plasticine, and a straw. When we were finished, we pulled on the bottom, and the balloon filled up with air. Cool, huh? Band followed science, and lunch just felt weird afterwards, since I'm so used to going home after band. During math, our teacher gave us another quiz, which was fairly easy. But last class we had a quiz, this class we had a quiz, next class we have a quiz, and the class after that we have a chapter test. Gee, our teacher must really like scaring us. Socials was after Math, and I actually looked forward to it. Of course, we did venture off topic more then once, but it got so gory and disgusting when Mr. Sale started talking about burns and blisters and....yuck. We did more Medieval stuff, with knights and chivalry and castles. Our assignment today was to sketch a castle with a whole bunch of stuff in it. And at the end of the unit, we're going to get other people's sketches and then plan an invasion on their castle. It sounds pretty cool!
