Okay, back to school! Gosh, I was pretty tired today, after my busy weekend. I was just yawning and yawning. But I did enjoy Science, since we have Smedley back. I like having her back in charge, she's understands us more, and she's always in good at controlling us. We watched this cute little animated science episode on soil erosion. Then I found out that we have to do yet ANOTHER foldable. Sigh. What's with science and foldables? I made so many of them already. Anyways, in band we did more scale studies and then some practices including the dreadful Flight of the Bumblebee. We're also starting to practice pieces that we might do for the concert. I have a feeling we're going to be playing one of our fast, hard songs since Mr. Hurst probably wants to show off a bit. But doesn't every teacher? We also played this duet piece, that Mr. Hurst assigned to us. We're supposed be in a quartet (4 players), with a maximum of two players per instrument. So far, it's Cynthia, Kathy C, and I, and we're still looking for a fourth player. No more flutes, though. The other quartet that we know of is Alex, Andy, and Chris. Hmmm, pure synergy. Half the girls, and half the guys. We're both still looking for another player.
Socials brought us the political parties presentation, which was pretty fun to listen to. It was funny, how people were really preparing for it, but it turns out that it was really quick, and a lot of people got cut off short. I was on the NDP team, and I guess we did pretty well. Nobody got cut off. But we were missing one team member.
