Okay, a lot of interesting things happened today. For Math, it was just...Math. A lot of work to be done, and each question takes a long time to do, since we have to write down ALL the steps, and then check our work after that. For 15 minutes, I could only do 9 questions. For Socials, we did a little bit of Medieval stuff, and then Mr. Sale told us he had a "treat" for us. That sure got me scared. Kathy C was wondering if it was a pop quiz, and it was at that moment that i kind of freaked out. If it was a pop quiz, I would never pass it, since I still can't remember anything. Well, it turned out that he had a CD, and after all the cheering passed, he showed it to us: another Twilight Zone. Oh gosh, those scare me a lot. I still remember the first Twilight Zone episode he showed us, it was just so scary. This time I was all prepared to hide behind something or someone if something scary happens. This time, the episode was called "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" I got to admit, it wasn't as scary as the first one, but still, it was kind of scary. Anyways, moving on. I'll rather not think about that episode again. So in Band, we practiced Flight of the Bumblebee. It goes so fast, and not only do we have to play it, we have to record it for our final recordings. Mr. Hurst showed us some performances of Flight of the Bumblebee by professionals, and they are SO GOOD. Really. It's scary how fast and perfect they can play. Our assignment was to find a recording of Flight of the Bumblebee with our own instrument. Well, I play the flute, so here's what I found:
Isn't it scary how well he can play? It actually sounds like a bee buzzing around, which is, I guess what it's supposed to sound like. I'll never be able to get that far. I don't even know how I'm going to do my recording. Well, I guess I'll just have to practice. A LOT.
